I’m not crying, you are! 

Today is a doozy transit wise. We have Mercury, our planet of communication entering the cardinal waters of Cancer making a conjunction with Venus the planet of relationships, the Moon in the fixed water sign of Scorpio opposing Mars and squaring Pluto, and later on in the evening Mercury making a hard aspect to Pluto. Water works- activated.

If you are feeling overly emotional, sentimental, or reactive, you can thank these overpowering energies passing through the emotional waters of Cancer and Scorpio.

This is a positive time to really reflect and sit with anything from the past that is presenting itself now. How do you process your feelings and work through things? What relationships with family members are coming up for you at this time? Is there healing that needs doing that you have been avoiding? 

How do you communicate your vulnerability in your relationships? Does this need work? Reflection? Review?

We are given an opportunity to be honest with ourselves about what deeper aspects of ourselves need our attention. Find a way to process any emotions coming up for you at this time in healthy ways such as crying, journaling, meditating, taking a nap and then writing about any dreams that come up for you, channeling your feelings into art. This is all supported today.

Venus, our planet that represents beauty and relationships, makes a hard aspect to the transformational energies of Pluto. We could be feeling or experiencing some tension around how we relate to lovers and partners of all kinds during the days of this transit. Venus in Cancer asks us to explore vulnerability and meeting needs in a relationship dynamic. How do you meet emotional needs for yourself and others? Is it all about you, do you take your partner's feelings into consideration? Does your partner take your feelings into consideration? How do you integrate the need to be loved and the will to love from an emotional place into your connection with others?

Pluto is asking for growth and transformation around these themes. Progressive ways of thinking, seeking new landscapes and different ways of approaching an old issue. 

With the Moon in its sign of Scorpio all day we are more likely to feel overly sensitive and reactive when it comes to our emotions. This is a time where subconscious fears, frustrations, and insecurities could come to surface. If you are in therapy or working with any healers, this is a positive and powerful time to work through issues related to past trauma, especially around sexual themes. 

Dreams and visions are powerful during this time. Find a way to get grounded in the material if you find your emotions getting the best of you.

Our Sun leaves the mutable sign of Gemini and enters the cardinal water energy of Cancer for the next month. Happy Birthday to all my Cancer people! I love you. Cancer is the 4th sign of the Zodiac ruling the 4th house of the natal Chart and ruled by the Moon. In Cancer we are learning the value of nurturing, self care, intentional vulnerability, connecting to our mothers, family, ancestral lineage, what home means to us, emotions, and how to cry as a form of healing. 

Cancer season heightens our connection to family, feelings, and vulnerability. This is a positive time to reflect on what those words mean to you on an internal level.

With the Moon in Sagittarius for the first half of the day we may not feel very inspired or motivated for a typical mundane work day. We could be itching for the weekend and any kind of routine we have could feel like shackles holding us back from the freedom we seek. If you are inclined to start the day feeling this way, maybe change your routine up and see how it gives you a break from the usual go to Friday tasks you might usually center on. Try a new coffee shop, take yourself out to lunch, go on a morning walk before work. 

The Moon will enter Capricorn later on in the day grounding you back into practical reality soon enough, followed by it hitting its Full Moon phase exactly at 6:08 pm. Full Moons represent a time of releasing and letting go and are also powerful energies for us setting intentions towards things we hope to manifest into our lives. Capricorn is the cardinal earth sign of the Zodiac ruling the 10th house of the chart and ruled by the planet Saturn. In Capricorn we are learning how to move forward and take action in the material realm towards the work we do in the world and the public image we wish to cultivate while doing so. 

This is a positive and powerful time for you to reflect on work/life balance, who you are in your career, what your public image is saying about you, and what you what to call in and release around these themes. 

Also today, Mercury, our planet of communication, makes a harmonious sextile to Mars in Taurus today as well giving us the opportunity to take action around communicating our needs in practical ways and also accomplishing anything we set our minds to when it comes to home and family life. We benefit from being honest about our feelings and needs while also being practical and pragmatic about what is possible in this moment.

With the Moon in Capricorn all day we will still be under the influence of the full Moon energy from the day before. We may feel a lot of pressure to take action and accomplish things on our to-do list and this is supported over the weekend.

The Sun makes a hard aspect to Pluto today as well, calling for us to reflect on our relationship to our ego identity and whether or not we are operating from a place of empowerment or frenzy. How are we serving our community and how does “who we are” play into the value of who we are within the groups of people and the collective consciousness we are a part of. Do we help or harm others with our intentions and goals? As someone in the spiritual communities I often see practitioners of spiritual arts in competition with each other which I find grotesque and comical as being a practitioner of spiritual arts we are supposed to be using spirituality to be of service to our community, not to gain popularity or favoritism over other people. Sun in Cancer and Pluto in Aquarius are calling you to reflect on how you are of service to your community and whether you have pure intentions with the work you are doing.
